Wow, 2020 really was wild and it’s not even over yet. Despite all of the terribleness, there were some bright lights and things to be thankful for. Here’s what we at VAX and Trisept Solutions are grateful for this year. This list looks pretty different from 2019’s list, but the feelings of hope and gratitude remain.

“This year I’m thankful for the opportunity to come back to working full time in the travel industry! I’m also very thankful for Mario, my roommate with four legs that barks sometimes.”
- Taylor, associate editor

“This has been a rough year, but there is still a lot to be grateful for. I’m extremely grateful for my partner who has stuck by my side through all the stress this year has brought, whether it’s the uncertainty in the industry or other more personal issues, he’s always there. I look forward to travelling with him again very soon!”
- Becky, senior solutions consultant

“I am thankful for the courage and stamina of our travel agent community, who have the delicate and monumental task of re-engaging their clients in the wonders of travel. Since every client has their own relevant and unique circumstances, the customized guidance and reassurance our travel agent experts provide is more important in helping these travelers realize their vacation dreams than ever before. A heartfelt thank you for all you do!”
- Sue, senior account manager

“This year has been a struggle, and filled with too much loss, but on the flipside I have been blessed with extra time with my family, time to hone some new skills and re-establish connections with special people. I’m grateful to be back to work, feeling my purpose again and sensing the travel industry is nearing a BIG resurgence.”
- Beth, BDM

“It’s kind of hard to find something to be thankful for this year, but after giving it some thought, I realized that I’m thankful for the resiliency of the travel industry and the dedication of our travel advisors who are passionate about working towards a bright future for travel.”
- Andrea, managing editor

“This year I am extra thankful for the flexibility and resiliency of my company and that I was able to work from home this year. I am grateful for the extra time I was able to spend at home with my fur babies and the state-side adventures I was able to take this summer.”
- Kati, marketing specialist

“I am thankful to be surrounded by caring and resilient friends and family who continue to navigate the ups and downs of a chaotic year as we try to make the best of the situation and enjoy every moment of life to its fullest.”
- Andrew, web producer

This year I am incredibly grateful to be part of such an amazing team. Challenging times brought out the absolute best in our team of people who support each other, are all in it together and most importantly keep each other positive. We worked hard and laughed harder. Being surrounded by amazing people every day is a blessing!”
- Sarah, director of VAX

“I am grateful for my coworkers never giving up! Despite teams shrinking, increased workloads and constant changes, they kept going to keep the business alive. Their hard work made sure I had a company and job to come back to. I will always be grateful for that.”
- Chris, account manager
