There is never a shortage of entertainment options in Las Vegas. From acrobatic artistry to raucous magicians to musical legends, there is something happening each night to captivate your clients.
Although there’s something new to be seen on each visit, it’s the mainstays who truly light up the marquee. This year’s lineup of residents is full of pop sensations, rock stars, legendary divas and more. Rock legends, Aerosmith, will be kicking off their 18-show residency in April 2019 at the Park Theater at Park MGM. From “Walk This Way” to “I Don’t Want Miss a Thing,” the Rock & Roll Hall of Famers will be channeling their extensive, multiplatinum catalog and sharing it with fans at the state-of-the-art venue.
Lady Gaga is another newcomer to the Park Theater’s stacked bill. The pop sensation will be showcasing two unique experiences coined Enigma and Jazz & Piano. The former positioning her pop hits in a new, multisensory way, and the latter aligning her recognizable favorites alongside covers of American Standards. Her highly anticipated residency kicks off in December 2018 and continues for the next two years.
Although there’s always something new to see and love in the Entertainment Capital of the World, there are a few shows that simply cannot be missed. Gwen Stefani’s high-energy display at Planet Hollywood, for instance, has dates in December 2018 and March 2019, and it’s “B-A-N-A-N-A-S!” While you’re at it, “Quit Playing Games” because boy-band sensations, Backstreet Boys, have been selling out Zappos Theater since their residency started in 2017. The conclusion of Backstreet Boys: Larger Than Life is coming with a final run of shows spanning from Feb. 6, 2019, through April 27, 2019, so there’s still time, but tickets move fast so planning is essential.
In what may be the saddest of goodbyes, Celine Dion’s beloved show, Celine, at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, will be concluding its epic tenure on June 8, 2019. The songbird’s powerful voice has become one of the pillars of the Vegas entertainment community, and her one-of-a-kind show simply must be seen at least once. Whether it’s their first time or their last, it’s not too late to book your clients now before she’s gone for good.
Although the residencies are an important part of the Vegas landscape, there is so much more to experience on any given night. From master illusionists and magicians, to side-splitting comedians, to touring musicians, there is something for everyone − that includes not one, not two, but seven exclusive Cirque du Soleil shows. From reimagining groundbreaking musical catalogs in Michael Jackson ONE and The Beatles LOVE, to celebrating the elements in KA, O and Mystère, or the more adult-focused Criss Angel Mindfreak Live or Zumanity, each visually and sonically stimulating sensations is completely distinctive and a must-see for anyone who’s coming to town. Showtimes for Cirque can be found throughout the week and spanning most of the Strip, making seeing one doable any time of the year.
Ensure your clients gain access to the best entertainment available by using the VAX’s Destinations/U.S. Cities tab and selecting Las Vegas. There you’ll find up-to-date calendars for running shows to help in narrowing down the ever-growing list of options.
