Travelers can take work from home to the next level this summer when they take advantage of Virgin Voyages’ Summer Season Pass, an exclusive, month-long work abroad program on the brand’s Scarlet, Resilient and Valiant Lady ships. After nearly selling out upon launching earlier this spring, Virgin Voyages recently announced plans to extend the program to include sailings in the stunning Caribbean calling the itineraries a convenient option for North American cruisegoers who want to stay closer to home and stick to similar time zones.
Prices for the new Caribbean Summer Season Pass aboard Valiant Lady begin at $12,000 for up to two people and include four weeks at sea with pitstops in iconic destinations like the white sand beaches of Bimini, the lush jungles of the Dominican Republic and the intriguing ruins of Mexico.
“I’ve been fortunate enough to be able to do my work from anywhere,” said Richard Branson, founder of Virgin Group in a March 2024 press release announcing Virgin Voyages’ Summer Season Passes. “When I started Virgin, I was actually working out of a houseboat. I’ve never thought of work and play as two different things, it’s all just living. We want to give Sailors that same opportunity, so we came up with this idea to have them travel the world while working aboard our beautiful ships. Though this sounds like a lot more fun than my houseboat!”

“No longer does working from home mean being tied to a desk or home office and eating leftovers for lunch,” said Nirmal Saverimuttu, CEO of Virgin Voyages in the same March 2024 press release. “With our latest Wi-Fi upgrades, Virgin Voyages can now offer our Sailors the chance to see the world while working from a daybed at The Dock and sampling Mediterranean mezzes, then hopping off the ship in between calls to make the most of our incredible ports of call.”
