Year-Round Horror Experience Coming to Las Vegas

Inspired by the bone-chilling magic of Halloween Horror Nights, plans are taking shape for a brand-new permanent horror experience presented by Universal Parks & Resorts at Las Vegas’ popular Area15 entertainment district. The hair-raising experience will be situated on 20 acres of scream-worthy terrain and will bring to life Universal’s impressive collection of both classic horror films and modern scares.

The fresh haunt will be Universal’s first permanent horror experience and will focus on delivering visitors a variety of creative and immersive scares. From spooky food and beverage spaces that transform into creepy bars and eateries by night to constantly evolving elements and seasonal events, the new concept is sure to fright and delight.

“Universal is known for our ability to deliver original, highly-themed and terrifying horror entertainment experiences for millions of fans every year,” said Page Thompson, president of new ventures for Universal Parks & Resorts. “We are excited to give our global fanbase yet another way to get scared and have fun with fear in the heart of Las Vegas, the perfect place for this type of unique concept.”

New Concept Planned for Frisco, Texas

A theme park designed with travel’s youngest thrill-seekers in mind, Universal recently unveiled plans for a one-of-a-kind theme park specifically created for families with young children. The proposed park will be in Frisco, Texas, and will be sized for a regional audience making it more intimate than Universal’s previous offerings. What does that mean for park-goers? More family-friendly attractions, interactive and playful shows, character meet and greets, fun food and beverage venues, and more.

The new concept will be situated on 97 acres of land and will feature an adjacent themed hotel. Universal teased travelers stating that the park will have a completely different look and feel from the company’s existing lands as it hopes to attract a younger demographic.

“We are excited about the opportunity to partner with the city of Frisco and Mayor Cheney as we work to bring this innovative, new concept to life designed specifically for a younger generation of Universal fans,” said Thompson. “We think North Texas is the perfect place to launch this unique park for families given its growing popularity within this part of the country.”

Stay tuned for more details in the coming months.
