November, the month of gratitude, brings us the perfect opportunity to recognize our clients.
The sales cycle is circular. After clients travel, we must keep that circle going or else we fade into their distant memory.
This is the loyalty part of the sales cycle. Loyalty is on us. It’s our job to keep up with them and be in their world. The key to growth is repeats and referrals, which is why November can be very important.
Show Appreciation for Your Clients in November
- Each day of November either write a thank you note to a past client or send them a voice memo text to check in on them and see how the last part of the year is going for them.
- On social media, make a Thankful Thursday post or video on your business social media. Sincerely thank your clients for supporting your small business. Here are some themes you can use:
- The world wide web is full of choices for booking your travel.... thank you for choosing me to be your agent.
- Thank you so much to all of my clients—I highly value your trust and confidence in me and sincerely appreciate you all.
- I take pride in the service I provide, and I thank all of my clients for the opportunity to serve them in planning their vacations.
- For Thanksgiving: I have so much to be thankful for this year, most of all YOU, my wonderful clients.
Thank Clients for Referrals
I never was able to keep up with referral thank you programs. What I found works for me is every November go through the year’s bookings and send a thank you gift to any client who referred a new, confirmed client.
I make a thank you card and vary what I send each year.
One year I found these Olaf pins from the Disney Outlet inexpensive, and I sent that with a card I made on Vistaprint, with the message “Good clients are worth melting for...” to all of my Disney clients who shared my name.
The easiest thing is to send a Dunkin or Starbucks gift card with a “Thanks A Latte” for sharing my name message.
You can be creative or really practical and send the gift cards by email even. The most important thing is the thought and recognition.
Keep the sales circle going this November with loyalty in mind and make sure your clients feel the gratitude you have for them.
