Royal Caribbean International continues to raise the bar in the Asian cruise market as they enter into Tokyo’s new cruise terminal with the most technologically advanced ship yet, Spectrum of the Seas.

In the summer of 2020, special sailings from Spectrum of the Seas depart July 25 and Aug. 2 from Shanghai, China to Tokyo’s brand new Shinyaku Pier. The first Quantum Ultra Class ship will boast the cruise line’s first private enclave for suite guests, state-of-the-art dining experiences and a variety of the following exquisite features that have never before been experienced at sea:

  • An out-of-this-world bungee trampoline experience named Sky Pad. A virtual reality headset transports adventurers to another time, place or planet for high-flying fun.
  • Robots making customized juice beverages at the Bionic Bar.
  • Suite Club accommodations with exclusive amenities like private dining rooms, lounges and karaoke performances in private 3D cinemas in the new Ultimate Family Suites.
  • Sichuan Red, a specialty dining experience designed specifically for Spectrum of the Seas.

“Our ships are designed and created to deliver unforgettable vacation experiences to our guests, and we are proud to be a part of this once-in-a-lifetime experience in Tokyo next summer,” said the president of Royal Caribbean China, Bert Hernandez.
