The Vision

Inspired by pre-Hispanic Taíno culture, guests of Zemí Miches will find nods to the ancient heritage throughout the property, including its namesake as “Zemí” was the spiritual force said to bridge the physical and supernatural words, resulting in protection, power and healing. According to Hilton, the brand chose this name to honor and celebrate “the natural splendor of Playa Esmeralda in Miches,” and it hopes to create a “profound connection between our guests and the land (by) celebrating its rich history and beauty.”

To embrace Taíno flavors, travelers won’t want to miss a meal at Anacaona, a culinary experience designed to celebrate local culture with innovative dishes made using native ingredients. Alternatively, if they’re craving foods from Thailand or Italy, there’s Boba — a Thai street food-inspired eatery — and Manicato — a spot for creations reminiscent of the Amalfi Coast — respectively. Lastly, for a truly immersive experience, guests can visit Jagua, Zemí Miches’ exclusive Bungalow Collection restaurant that boasts carefully curated menus served in a jungle-inspired setting.
