Whether they’re in town on business or pleasure, the conveniently located property makes it easy for guests to experience the many different sides of this colorful destination from parties and nightlife to sightseeing and professional events. How I Felt
Comfortable. With its fresh A/C and modern touches, the hotel’s impressive lobby was a much-welcomed contrast from the hot and humid Puerto Rico air. This feeling of comfort and hospitality followed me throughout the week taking many different forms. From my spacious room with its cozy heating and cooling settings to the hotel’s onsite shop where I picked up some much-needed sunscreen for a busy day ahead, the Sheraton Puerto Rico Resort & Casino made for an excellent temporary home.

The Digs
With its pair of double beds, clean and well-lit bathroom and excellent view, I was more than impressed by my accommodations for the week. My room was simple, yet stylish with natural wood-toned design elements and relaxing warm-colored lighting. The room had everything I needed for a safe and pleasant stay.

The Agenda
This trip to San Juan allowed me to channel my inner business girlie as I was in town to attend IGLTA’s 40th Anniversary Global Convention and had networking and mainstage sessions on my mind. Luckily, the Sheraton Puerto Rico Resort & Casino is directly adjacent to the Puerto Rico Convention Center which made for a speedy commute on those early mornings when I didn’t have enough time to grab a coffee before heading out the door.

The Eats
While I was unable to try much of the food at the hotel, I did have the chance to sample the buffet breakfast at Choices restaurant. At $36.38, the price was a bit steep, but I found the selection to be good with plenty of healthy options like oatmeal, fresh fruit and yogurt alongside breakfast staples like eggs, bacon and toast. To top things off, I had a delicious cup of coffee with my meal and snagged a few bananas to go.

Why I Would Go Back
With its rich history, vibrant culture and toasty temperatures year-round, there are so many reasons I would love to go back to Puerto Rico. And, while I haven’t booked my return flight quite yet, I can see my husband and I visiting this destination to take advantage of its adventurous offerings like El Yunque National Rainforest and the bioluminescent bay in Vieques. Of course, as a self-proclaimed “cat lady,” I wouldn’t mind returning to San Juan to pay another visit to my many friendly feline friends either.
