The Vibe

Picture walking down the red carpet, cameras flashing, as you enter the stunning Planet Hollywood Costa Rica, especially when you're traveling with a fun-loving group. Nestled amidst the breathtaking mountains, this resort makes the most of the mesmerizing views of the Papagayo Gulf, perfectly blending with the surrounding natural beauty. At Planet Hollywood Costa Rica, you can truly vacation like a star – especially if you have Star Class privileges. With Star Class, you have upgraded benefits and your own Personal Assistant (butler). Each day the resort does something different and has a variety of activities and characters that are sure to keep you engaged, including the not-to-be-missed foam party. This resort is perfect for groups of any kind, couples and solo travelers.

How I Felt

During my stay, I was able to truly unwind and relax. As someone with allergies, I usually find it challenging to communicate my dietary restrictions. However, the resort's attention to detail was impressive. The foods were properly labeled, and cross-contamination concerns were thoughtfully addressed. The chef even accompanied me to ensure a worry-free dining experience, and the staff was always attentive to my allergies – leaving me with peace of mind and the freedom to enjoy every meal. The resort's energy was infectious, and the staff made sure every moment was memorable. My personal assistant was an absolute rockstar, always there to cater to my needs and make me feel like a VIP.

The Digs

Speaking of rooms, mine was a dream come true. I stayed in the One Bedroom Director's suite, and the moment I sank into the cozy bed, I drifted into blissful slumber. With two bathrooms, a living room, dining area, walk-in closet and not one but two balconies boasting amazing views, the suite was pure indulgence. Even the lowest category of rooms at this resort offers ample space and comfort.

The Agenda

Since my group was there for a destination wedding, the resort played the perfect host for our special event. From a fabulous welcome party and rehearsal dinner to a magical ceremony and a reception that included mesmerizing Brazilian Carnival dancers, every moment was filled with joy and celebration. The nightly shows were a highlight of our stay, and the fire show left us in awe. We also indulged in silent parties, enjoyed our complimentary hydrotherapy hour (a perk for Star Class guests) and embarked on the thrilling Mega Buena Vista excursion – an adventure packed with cultural delights.

The Eats

My favorite restaurant was the Sunset Strip Steakhouse. However, there is an upcharge for the ribeye, but it was so worth it. Besides eating at the specialty restaurants, I ate a good part of my meals at the So Cal Gourmet Food Emporium (buffet). I think I can speak for my whole group but watching them make our fried rice made to order was the best.

Why I Would Go Back

Beyond the stunning views, what truly stood out was the warm and attentive service from the amazing staff at the resort. I can’t wait to go back.
