The Vibe

The moment I stepped into the oversized lobby of Marina Bay Sands, I knew I was in for an unforgettable experience. This world-famous resort is best known for its rooftop infinity pool — the largest in the world — soaring 57 stories above the Singapore skyline and stretching across three gleaming towers.

A mix of Vegas glitz, Miami chic and unmistakable Singaporean flair, Marina Bay Sands exceeded my already high expectations. The lobby itself is visually stunning — bathed in natural light and designed with sleek, modern elegance. The energy is buzzing with travelers from every corner of the globe. Yet, the moment you step off the elevator into the guest room corridors, a serene calm takes over, continuing into the spacious rooms and suites, where tasteful design meets high-end comfort.

The crowd is as dynamic as the atmosphere. Here, high-rollers, honeymooners and luxury seekers (like myself) mingle effortlessly. Connected to the resort is a sprawling three-story shopping haven, home to 19 flagship stores, 170 premium boutiques and a casino that comes alive in the evening. But the crown jewel? The infinity pool — exclusive to resort guests and truly the highlight of any stay.

How I Felt

Awestruck. Overwhelmed — in the best possible way. The sheer scale of the resort, combined with its understated luxury, was nothing short of breathtaking. And the first time I stepped onto the 57th floor and gazed out over the city from the infinity pool? Pure magic.

There’s a certain thrill in rubbing elbows with jet-setters from around the world, but what truly stood out was the unpretentious, world-class service. Every staff member made me feel welcome, and in conversation with other guests, it was clear that the warm hospitality left a lasting impression on all of us.

The Digs

My room was nothing short of spectacular. Spacious and elegantly designed, it featured floor-to-ceiling windows with panoramic views of Marina Bay. The décor exuded opulence without being ostentatious — marble and gold-accented bathrooms with a deep soaking tub, a fully stocked bar cart and high-tech amenities that made every moment seamless.

But the ultimate perk? Complimentary access to the infinity pool. Waking up and heading straight to the rooftop, where the city skyline stretched endlessly before me, was an experience worth every penny.

The Agenda

After check-in, my first stop was, of course, the 57th floor. With a morning mimosa in hand, I lounged beneath the shade of a perfectly placed umbrella, easing into the plush poolside seating before finally slipping into the water. Floating there, gazing at the city below, I understood why Marina Bay Sands has become an icon.

Later, I strolled over to Gardens by the Bay, just a short walk from the hotel. This futuristic urban oasis, with its towering Supertrees and biodome conservatories, is a must-visit for any traveler.

In the afternoon, I hopped on a Hop-On Hop-Off bus tour, an efficient way to explore Singapore’s diverse neighborhoods — Chinatown, Little India, Orchard Road and, of course, the Marina Bay area.

The Eats

As the sun set, I headed back up to the 57th floor for dinner at CÉ LA VI, where fine dining meets jaw-dropping views. As a solo traveler, I opted for a bar seat — an intentional choice. I love the interactions with bartenders and fellow diners, and it’s a great way to soak in the atmosphere while enjoying a quicker, more dynamic experience.

With limited time in Singapore, I wanted every meal to be memorable but not overly time-consuming. CÉ LA VI delivered, serving up exquisite dishes paired with an unbeatable cityscape backdrop.

Why I Would Go Back

In a city filled with legendary hotels, choosing Marina Bay Sands was an easy decision — and one I would make again in a heartbeat. The infinity pool alone was worth the stay, whether it was a tranquil morning swim, a golden-hour dip at sunset or a surreal midnight float with the city lights shimmering below. It’s a magical experience that no other hotel in the world can replicate.

For anyone visiting Singapore, this resort isn’t just a place to stay — it’s the destination itself.
