Though I’ve traveled to Florida several times, I had never stayed in downtown St. Petersburg prior to my last visit, and I’m so glad I had the opportunity to explore this destination. From museums and beaches to local restaurants and breweries, this place truly has something for every traveler to enjoy. During my visit, I stayed at the Hilton St. Petersburg Bayfront.
The Vibe
Upon arrival, I was met with a warm welcome, and the customer service was excellent throughout the stay. The hotel draws in a mix of customers and is ideal for visitors wanting to stay in St. Petersburg Waterfront District but also have easy access to several nearby beaches. Most people staying at this property will be out and about exploring the downtown area, but the hotel also has several amenities such as an outdoor pool, fitness center, on-site restaurant and Starbucks coffee shop.
How I Felt
Energized. As I traveled through the downtown area and pulled up to the property, I knew it was in a prime location. I was excited to get checked in, but even more excited to get back out and explore the bustling surrounding area I just drove through. There are endless nearby attractions to visit simply by walking out the lobby doors, and it was fun to be able to explore on foot and have a cozy place to retreat to each evening.

The Digs
The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. My room was located on the 14th floor, which meant I had an excellent view of the city. This property has both guest rooms and suites, the latter offering a separate sitting area with a pullout couch and chairs. All the rooms include common amenities such as an iron, hairdryer, safe, coffee/tea station, internet access and bathroom amenities.
The Agenda
My short stay was only enough to get a taste of what St. Pete has to offer, so I will absolutely be back. I did get to try a handful of nearby eateries, visit the Sunken Gardens and explore St. Pete Pier. I also made it out to see the beach in nearby Redington Shores.
The Eats
The surrounding area is conveniently walkable, and there are an endless number of restaurants available to dine at. For stunning views of both the water and the city, a visit to Teak is a must. Doc Ford’s is also an excellent choice for seafood lovers. In addition to seafood, there are several other items on the menu. I recommend sitting outside to feel the ocean breeze, hear live music and take in the surrounding action.

Why I Would Go Back
Location. Location. Location. This property is in a prime location for travelers who want to walk to a variety of nearby attractions. Restaurants, museums, breweries, parks, beaches and much more are only a few steps or a short Uber ride away. I will definitely be going back to stay at Hilton St. Petersburg Bayfront and explore more of the destination.
