This October, Global Travel Collection (GTC) will host its highly anticipated Elevate conference in New York City. The conference, taking place at the new Virgin Hotels New York City, will be the company’s first in-person event since 2019, and there is a lot in store for the attendees.
As Internova Travel Group’s luxury travel division, GTC represents advisors and agencies worldwide and serves luxury leisure, entertainment, production and corporate clients. Travel advisors attending the conference will have the opportunity to network with their peers as well as hundreds of the company’s preferred partners, which span across all sectors including hotel, tour, insurance, air and cruise.
Auberge Resorts Collection, Delta, Windstar, Air China, Atlas, BELMOND and Abercrombie & Kent are among the many partners attending. With a shared vision of success, Elevate will allow these travel advisors and industry partners to connect and strengthen relationships.
“Being in person with people today is so very important. We’ve devised the run of show to incorporate knowledge transfer, knowledge enhancements, especially in areas that touch the evolution of our industry,” said Angie Licea, president of Global Travel Collection, adding that they have an interesting lineup of speakers talking about what the future of travel looks like and covering topics like AI, exploration travel and the metaverse.
This conference is meant to set advisors up for success. Throughout the event, they’ll have professional growth opportunities, be able to network with other advisors and partners and hear about the latest industry updates.
While attending conferences is beneficial for professional growth, digging out of inboxes and feeling a sense of overwhelm afterward oftentimes feels like a setback. During Elevate, GTC is being extremely mindful of everyone’s time, and it will ensure there’s open time for advisors to keep up with their work.
In addition to networking and growth opportunities, the speakers chosen for this event are sure to leave attendees with a renewed sense of excitement for the industry. Licea shared that Space Perspective will be there as well as an astronaut in the opening session. Other speakers will talk about the value of AI in the travel space and why exploration travel will continue to be important. She said they’ll have “some very in-depth topics on today, but more importantly, tomorrow. What’s tomorrow, and what does that potentially look like?”
Elevate is meant to empower advisors and their supplier partners to help shape the future of the travel industry, and Licea hopes they walk away with not only the feeling that it was time well spent, but with stronger relations with partners, each other and the GTC team and the feeling that GTC is enabling their businesses.
“This year was particularly important for us as we come out and say, ‘We definitely are a force to be reckoned with in this industry, and we’re here for our advisors and our consumers,’” Licea said.
The Elevate conference is taking place from October 22-25. Advisors interested in learning more about Elevate or the Global Travel Collection can visit globaltravelcollection.com or email joinus@GlobalTravelCollection.com.
