Out on the water, paddleboarding, kayaking and sailing are popular activities. For a truly out-of-this-world experience, venture underwater to uncover the magic beneath the cerulean blue waves.

A year-round scuba diving destination, Grenada and Carriacou offer some of the best diving in the region. The water temperature is approximately 26°C in December and 28°C in July and visibility ranges from 50-100 feet.  There are more than fifty dive sites within a short boat ride of the shore, providing an opportunity to explore an amazing biodiversity of colorful marine life and pristine coral reefs in varied topography. With more than 20 wreck dives, Grenada has graciously accepted the title of “Wreck Capital of the Caribbean” with its most famous being the Bianca C shipwreck.

Grenada’s Underwater Sculpture Park, the first of its kind in the world, was created by Jason deCaires Taylor as a sustainable environment project for corals and marine life to inhabit.  The Underwater Sculpture Park can be experienced by diving, snorkeling and from a glass bottom boat.

Grenada is known as the “Wreck Capital of the Caribbean.”

A Culinary Delight

Widely known as the “Spice of the Caribbean,” the destination has long been famous for its production of high-quality spices and cocoa.

Fully embracing the identity of “Spice,” the integration of spices into Grenada’s cuisine has resulted in an overall robust and flavorful national food profile. From fine dining to casual beachside restaurants to street food, it is undeniable that Grenadians have a taste and flair for delicious food and, as a result, became the World Food Travel Association’s first Culinary Capital. To further raise the profile as a leading culinary destination, Grenada is partnering with renowned Chef Alexander Smalls to develop culinary programming that includes masterclasses and events with local and international chefs.

A chocolate island, Grenada’s six tree-to-bar chocolate companies produce artisan chocolate that delights the palate with every bite. Perfectly paired with handcrafted, locally produced rums, chocolate and rum tastings are a must-try experience when in Grenada. Of the four rum distilleries in Grenada, River Antoine Estate is the oldest and home to the oldest functioning water mill in the Caribbean. A trip to River Antoine is like being transported through time; the rum making process is still the same as it was centuries ago.

The Pure Grenada culinary experience is sure to be delectable and inspiring. A tip for visitors: leave enough space in the suitcase to bring home a taste of spice.

Three Islands; One Unique Destination

Easily accessible by sea and air, Grenada’s sister islands Carriacou and Petite Martinique provide the perfect tranquil and serene atmosphere to rest, relax and recharge. In other words, a visit to Carriacou and Petite Martinique is a true escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

Carriacou is the old-time Caribbean that dreams are made of, full of colorful houses and even more colorful people. Expect spectacular snorkeling and pristine beaches, rich West African and Scottish culture and unique traditions such as string band music, big drum dancing, wooden boat building and launching and Shakespeare Mas.

Petite Martinique – only one square mile – is one big family that always looks forward to visitors. Sweeping views of outlying islands and utter tranquility endear visitors to Petite Martinique immediately.
