As we enter the summer travel season several new hotels, resorts and updated accommodations are making splash just in time for one of the busiest times of the year. Here are a handful of exciting highlights for advisors to keep their eye on.
Openings
COMO Le Montrachet
This spring, Hotel le Montrachet was reimagined as COMO Le Montrachet, a 19th-century inn situated in the heart of the village of Puligny-Montrachet, Burgundy. The new hotel is housed across three historic buildings and travelers can choose from 30 elegant rooms and suites.

Ideal for foodies and oenophiles, COMO Le Montrachet features onsite French restaurant Le Montrachet and is just a short drive from some of the most incredible vineyards in the world including four Grand Cru vineyards and 17 Premier Cru vineyards.
Dollywood’s HeartSong Lodge & Resort
Visitors to the Smoky Mountains will have a new lodging option this fall with the opening of Dollywood’s HeartSong Lodge & Resort. Featuring a 4,000-square-foot, four-story atrium lobby, an impressive four-story stone fireplace, 302 guestrooms and stunning views of Great Smoky Mountains National Park, visitors will fall in love with this new hotel’s cozy decor and incredible location.

And after enjoying a comfortable night of sleep at HeartSong Lodge & Resort, visitors can head over to the Dollywood theme park for a spin on Big Bear Mountain, the park’s new roller coaster. HeartSong Lodge & Resort will open in November 2023.
Iberostar Selection Albufera
Iberostar Hotels & Resorts rolled out the latest addition to its portfolio earlier this month with the grand opening of Iberostar Selection Albufera, a sustainable family-friendly resort in beautiful Mallorca. The new resort represents Iberostar’s first all-inclusive hotel in Spain and is one of the hotelier’s most eco-friendly properties to date.

Located on the shores of Playa de Muro, Iberostar Selection Albufera features 600 fabulous guest rooms with stylish Mediterranean-inspired decor and 10 bars and restaurants. On the sustainability front, the property utilizes rooftop solar panels, boasts recycled and environmentally friendly materials and harnesses renewable energy sources to reduce its CO2 emissions.
Secrets Sunny Beach Resort & Spa
One of four Hyatt hotels to recently open in Bulgaria, Secrets Sunny Beach Resort & Spa promises guests personalized all-inclusive amenities, benefits and experiences during their stay on Sunny Beach, the largest resort town in Bulgaria. With a special focus on wellness, visitors to the new resort will find no shortage of feel-good activities including Pilates, yoga, aqua, spinning and more. Plus, a full-service spa and whirlpool ensure guests leave feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.

The Lexi Hotel
The first new hotel to open in Las Vegas this year, The Lexi Hotel is stylish, sophisticated and goes against the status quo as the only cannabis-inclusive property in Sin City. Featuring 64 newly designed rooms and suites, travelers can choose from five dramatic room categories — The Penthouse, The Lexi Suite, Boutique Suite, Classic King and Classic Double.

For the cannabis-inclined, the new lodging option features an entire fourth floor with “canna-friendly accommodations” that utilize cutting-edge air filtration technology to keep the environment feeling fresh and fun. In addition to smoke-safe rooms, visitors will also find a state-of-the-art fitness center, a charming European-style pool and a full-service spa on site.
Updates and Renovations
JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge Resort & Spa
JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge Resort & Spa is upping its water game as the popular resort is in the process of unveiling three new waterslides, an enhanced lazy river with swim-up cabanas, a family area with a wading pool, newly constructed adults-only areas with infinity pools and a series of hot tubs with incredible views of the surrounding landscape.

The new additions will offer something for everyone, with Sky Island — the newly added adults-only retreat — acting as a great place for 18+ vacationers to rest and unwind, while Sedona Spa and the revamped Havasu Playground area act as family-friendly spots for travelers of all ages.
JW Marriott Mexico City
JW Marriott Mexico City recently completed the first phase in an ongoing total property transformation with the completion of the renovation of its 314 guest rooms and 47 suites. Each newly remodeled room and suite includes sleek, minimalist decor, the latest technology and first-class amenities.

Phase two of JW Marriott Mexico City’s renovation is expected to conclude in the fall of 2023 and will include a complete upheaval of the hotel’s main lobby and entrances. In addition to cosmetic upgrades, the project will also incorporate the introduction of four new culinary concepts including a new bar and mezcal room.
Waldorf Astoria Atlanta Buckhead
Waldorf Astoria Atlanta Buckhead is back with a fresh look as the gorgeous hotel recently completed a top-to-bottom refresh of its 127 guest rooms and suites including the launch of a new Astoria Suite room category and a redesign of its Grand Presidential Suite. In addition to swanky new accommodations, the hotel added the finishing touches to its new signature restaurant, Brassica, and perfected its Peacock Alley lounge and Solarium spaces. The remodel also included enhancements to the onsite Waldorf Astoria Spa.

But that’s not all, more updates are coming as the hotelier plans to launch the final stage of its property-wide refresh at the end of 2023 when Waldorf Astoria Atlanta Buckhead will begin work on its meeting and event spaces.

Secrets Playa Blanca Costa Mujeres
Hyatt Hotels Corporation is continuing work on Secrets Playa Blanca Costa Mujeres, a 509-room all-inclusive resort that will further expand The Inclusive Collection’s presence in Mexico. The new property is expected to open at the end of 2023 and will feature what Hyatt calls a “captivating ambiance” with local art and furnishings, nine dining options, four swimming pools and world-class amenities.

“Demand for luxury, all-inclusive experiences in Mexico from guests, members, customers and owners remains high,” said Javier Coll, group president of global business development and innovation, Inclusive Collection, Hyatt. “We are leveraging this demand by thoughtfully expanding our brand footprint in new and existing destinations, building on our growth momentum and driving value for current and future owners.”
