The 2019 Travel Leader’s Network EDGE Conference was held this year at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland. I was lucky enough to attend the event with a few other members of our VAX team; Sarah, our senior manager of VAX’s marketing and operations, and Jordyn, our engagement coordinator and social media maven! I am always thrilled to travel with colleagues to get their perspectives of events from different eyes as our roles vary, and of course because I enjoy the companionship as well.

We enjoyed an energized tradeshow event as we had so many travel advisors coming by to share why they loved VAX and how they rely on it to do their business every day. Jordyn was busy getting some live testimonials while Sarah and I answered questions, resolved some concerns, documented feedback and just enjoyed greeting long-time advisor friends and getting to know many of the advisors that we hadn’t met before. The recurring theme for me at this tradeshow was the desire for education so I feel it might be a good time to add a link to our New Agent Education page to ensure everyone knows that it is there and available with training whenever you have time for it.

We also had the opportunity to provide a five-minute Power Speaker presentation which Jordyn so subtly managed to make into a Facebook Live event which you can watch if you want to learn a little about The Compass and The Community, which may be just what you need coming soon to a VAX login near you.

Between that and very nice receptions, engaging and building relationships with advisors and suppliers, it was a tremendous event. We culminated the closing reception enjoying our Universal Parks and Resorts Vacations friends and grabbed this fun photo with Abe!
