Avanti Destinations works exclusively with travel advisors and offers custom independent vacations for their clients. The tour operator recently partnered with VisitDenmark to expand its offerings in the destination. Advisors can now choose from two new customizable vacations, 10 new hotels and 16 new tours and experiences in Denmark. This brings it to a total of three FIT vacations, 47 hotels and 60 tours and experiences offered in this destination.

Through a new 40-page downloadable e-brochure and a recorded webinar, advisors and their clients can learn more about the independent offerings in Denmark.

“Whether your independent travel clients are interested in castles, colorful quaint towns, the latest environmental innovations, Vikings, museums, cycling, contemporary architecture and interior design, or award-winning gastronomy, Denmark is a wonderful destination, and we are pleased to partner with VisitDenmark,” said Paul Barry, Avanti’s CEO.

“The northern Jutland region, where we have added many of our new hotels and experiences, is actually the Danes’ own preferred vacation destination. In May SAS Airlines launched a summer nonstop flight between Newark and Aalborg to facilitate travel there.”

The destinations included in the e-brochure are Copenhagen, Aalborg, Roskilde, Odense, Aarhus and Skagen. Some of the new tours and experiences offered include a private two-hour walking tour of Lindholm Hoje Viking burial site, a private tour of Regan Vest/Danish Cold War Museum in a bunker near Aalborg and a small group guided wine walk tour of Aarhus, among several others.

“As a small country with many experiences and hotels that suit small groups of travelers, Denmark is perfect for independent travel,” said Ninna Seerup, Senior Travel Trade Manager for VisitDenmark in the US and UK.

“In this collaboration with Avanti, we are highlighting Danish seaside hotels and towns, high-quality local restaurants, as well as lovely towns like Aalborg and Skagen that are not well represented with other US tour operators. These destinations provide amazing travel experiences, and we look forward to welcoming more US travelers.”

The two new customizable vacations are the self-drive Best of Denmark, which is eight days/seven nights in Copenhagen, Odense and Aarhus, and the Copenhagen and North Jutland by rail, a seven-day/six-night vacation in Copenhagen and Aalborg.
