Whether you’re just getting started as a travel advisor or are an expert in the field, every travel professional has something to gain from attending industry events. From connecting with peers and catching up over cocktails to learning something new and getting to know essential brands and products, travel industry events are designed to help you grow and find success. And while we haven’t attended every event the industry has to offer, there are a few we think anyone can benefit from when they attend. Want to learn more? Keep reading to learn more about four annual events for travel advisors you won’t want to miss. Plus, a few additional conventions we think you will love.

Ascend

Jam-packed with educational sessions, insights into the latest travel trends, endless networking opportunities and more, ALG Vacations’ annual Ascend conference is one travel advisors will want to be sure to include when planning their yearly event wish list. Hosted in picturesque Cancun, Mexico, attendees will find value in learning from and meeting the people behind popular brands — including VAX VacationAccess — spending the night at a potentially new-to-them property and, because we know people in the travel industry love having fun, partying with their peers at epic welcome and farewell events (both of which are heavily themed, of course).

With 767 advisors and 149 brands in attendance in 2024, Ascend is only expected to continue growing in 2025. This year’s event will take place from October 15 - 18, reach out to your BDM to learn more about how to attend.

ASTA Travel Advisor Conference

Scheduled from May 20 – 22, 2025, the ASTA Travel Advisor Conference is a favorite among travel pros, and for good reason as, according to the event website, “The ASTA Travel Advisor Conference is the only industry event where you can learn new and innovative ways to sell travel and gain the insights and skills you need to effectively operate and grow your travel business.” Unique from other events, the ASTA conference offers attendees three distinct tracks to choose from: “Cultivate” for those newer to the industry, “Accelerate” for those focused on growth and “Innovate” for mid-to-large agency owners and managers. In addition to laser-focused education sessions, conference-goers will enjoy hearing from industry leaders, networking with fellow advisors, connecting with major brands and exploring the event’s beautiful host destination, Salt Lake City.

Again, this year’s ASTA Travel Advisor Conference will take place May 20 - 22, 2025 in Salt Lake City, UT. To sign up, visit the event website and click “Register.”

Las Vegas Travel Agent Forum

If you’re looking to network with your peers, immerse yourself in one of the nation’s most popular cities, discover new business opportunities and, perhaps, learn something new along the way, the Las Vegas Travel Agent Forum might be the event for you. Taking place each spring in the heart of Sin City, this exclusive B2B leisure travel agency focused program offers advisors the opportunity to connect with other pros, participate in supplier roundtable discussions, spend the night at an iconic Las Vegas hotel and more. And, while we might be biased, we think 2025 will be the convention’s best year yet as VAX VacationAccess has partnered with Las Vegas Travel Agent Forum to host its first-ever event: VAX Connection, A Travel Advisor Event from March 29 - 30 at Paris Las Vegas Hotel & Casino, the same venue that will host Las Vegas Travel Agent Forum March 30 - April 2, 2025.

To register for the Las Vegas Travel Agent Forum, visit the event’s website. To attend VAX Connection for free, select “VAX Las Vegas Travel Advisor Event” at checkout with registration code 4780.
