The pandemic has inspired a lot of traveler-focused innovation in the travel space, and American Airlines’ newly launched Sherpa tool is a perfect example of that.

Introduced in early August 2020, American Airlines’ Sherpa tool is “our guide to getting the right travel documentation,” according to its website. The goal of Sherpa is to help travelers understand travel requirements and get the right documentation they need for their destination. It’s free to use and is a great mobile and desktop experience.

Choose your nationality and your destination (you’ll choose the country), then with one click, you’ll learn if travel is open to visitors from your country and if you need a visa to enter (as well as the cost of the visa, the maximum stay and how many entries it allows). You can also click to see any travel restrictions like a mandatory quarantine upon arrival, proof of a negative COVID-19 test and mask requirements.

In a time where rules and regulations can change by the hour, American Airlines’ Sherpa tool offers the answers you may need to travel confidently.
