Vacationers with their sights set on warm weather trips have most likely had the thought of staying in an overwater bungalow cross their minds. Whether it’s for a special occasion like a honeymoon or anniversary or simply a bucket list trip they’d like to get checked off, staying in an over-the-water bungalow is a unique vacation experience.

The obstacle for making this type of vacation happen is oftentimes getting there, as so many of these resorts are located in far away locations such as Bora Bora or the Maldives. While these stunning destinations are worth the long-haul flights, some people might be interested in staying closer to home. If this sounds like you, a visit to the Caribbean for an overwater bungalow experience might be the trip for you. Here are five resorts with overwater bungalows that are not only located in the Caribbean but are also all-inclusive

Jamaica

Sandals Royal Caribbean

Situated in Montego Bay, Jamaica, Sandals Royal Caribbean has both Over-the-Water Private Island Butler Honeymoon Bungalow and Over-the-Water Private Island Butler Villa with Infinity Pool room categories. Another unique feature at this resort is its exclusive offshore island which has a private pool and Jacuzzi, dining experiences and entertainment.

Sandals South Coast

Heading south from Montego Bay to White House, another set of overwater bungalows awaits at Sandals South Coast. Joining these accommodations is an over-the-water bar and an over-the-water wedding chapel. And if staying over the ocean isn’t quite your style, this property also has the South Seas Village where vacationers can stay in a first-of-its-kind Rondoval suite.

Mexico

El Dorado Maroma

It’s hard to believe over-the-water bungalows are accessible with only a quick flight into Cancun. Located in the Mexican Caribbean, El Dorado Maroma invites guests to experience the Palafitos-Overwater Bungalows. With features such as glass bottom floors, indoor hot tubs and butler service, it’s hard to find a good reason to leave the room when staying in one of these unique accommodations.

Antigua

Royalton Antigua

Known for having one beach for every day of the year, it’s no surprise travelers venture to Antigua for the seaside experience. At Royalton Antigua, visitors can take their vacation to the next level by staying in one of the property’s Chairman Overwater Bungalows. Some of the many amenities include luxurious bathrobes, complimentary snorkeling equipment and an upgraded room service menu.

Saint Lucia

Sandals Grande St. Lucian

Referred to as “The Hawaii of the Caribbean,” Saint Lucia lures travelers in with its lush rainforests and waterfalls existing alongside volcanic beaches. After an active day on the island, visitors staying at Sandals Grande St. Lucian can continue to take in these tropical views from the comfort of an Over-the-Water Honeymoon Butler Bungalow.
