Honeymoons, golf getaways, multigenerational family vacations – there are several different niches advisors can choose to specialize in during their career. One of the most popular areas of travel, and one that continues to grow, is destination weddings.

There are a lot of moving parts when it comes to booking destination weddings. We understand it's not the easiest segment to get into as a travel advisor, but we wanted to learn more about what specific struggles you have. A recent VAX survey asked, “What is your biggest obstacle when selling destination weddings?”

Four of the responses were “finding the right venue” (8.02%), “communication with venue/brands” (13.58%), “customizing package options” (11.73%) and “other” (4.32%). However, the response that got the most attention at 62% was “finding clients.”
