2023 is shaping up to be an exciting year for new and newly renovated resorts. Whether your travelers are looking for an all-inclusive experience in Mexico and the Caribbean or are looking for a domestic adventure to embrace, these six properties are sure to please.

Cayo Levantado Resort

Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts is adding a new hotel to its roster with the announcement of Cayo Levantado Resort, a new hotel expected to open in June of 2023. Located in the Dominican Republic on the island of Cayo Levantado, the new resort has been extensively renovated and will focus on bringing guests a distinctly Dominican experience through its Rhythm All Its Own concept.

“Cayo Levantado Resort is certainly an important benchmark in the Dominican Republic,” said Lluisa Salord, vice president of sales, contracting and distribution for Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts in a December 2022 press release. “This project not only adds value to the tourism sector but also contributes to the development of the country and the local community.”

Conrad Orlando

Slated to open in the fall of 2023, travelers can chill and catch thrills when they stay at the Conrad Orlando by Hilton. Located less than five miles from Disney Springs, nine miles from Universal Orlando Resort and 20 miles from Orlando International Airport (MCO), this new property is in the heart of all that The City Beautiful has to offer.

After a long day of lines, coasters and sunshine, travelers will love retiring to the Conrad Orlando to enjoy the hotel’s expansive spa (complete with 11 treatment rooms and a garden), atmospheric bars and restaurants, and the highly acclaimed Links Course, a premier Jack Nicklaus designed golf course.

Iberostar Selection Cancun

Come February 2023, the popular Iberostar Selection Cancun will feature 113 freshly renovated rooms. Accompanying the new digs, travelers will find sleek designs, beachy accent pieces and all the modern bells and whistles that they’ve come to expect from accommodations at an all-inclusive resort.

When it comes to things to do, travelers of all ages will love this hotel’s sprawling beaches, onsite pre-Columbian era museum, impressive golf course, marine life and Aqua Fun, a kid-friendly swim area. The property is also home to six restaurants, six bars, several pools, a cozy cafe and a bumping nightclub.

Morningstar Buoy Haus Beach Resort, an Autograph Collection Hotel

Part of an extensive $425 million rebuild at Frenchman’s Reef in St. Thomas, Aimbridge Hospitality announced plans for the new Morningstar Buoy Haus Beach Resort, an Autograph Collection Hotel, in December 2022. The new resort is expected to open in the spring of 2023 and will aim to immerse guests in ‘modern comfort and the relaxing rhythm of life on the beach.’

In tandem with architectural and interior design teams such as Kollin Altomare, The Johnson Studio and Sixteenfifty Creative Intelligence, travelers can expect gorgeous, open-air designs and impressive public spaces. These expertly crafted touches will also translate into the resort’s 94 guestrooms, vibrant beachfront lobby, variety of bars, restaurants and more.

The Ritz-Carlton Paradise Valley, the Palmeraie

A stunning new resort is coming to Scottsdale, AZ, in the fall of 2023 with the opening of The Ritz-Carlton Paradise Valley, the Palmeraie. The new property is settled on 20 acres of palm-studded terrain with an incredible view of the picturesque Camelback Mountain on the horizon.

The hotelier describes the resort as an ‘exclusive sanctuary, tucked away yet close enough to touch the vibrant pulse of Scottsdale.’ Inside, travelers will find no shortage of discoveries as they encounter secret gardens, on-site citrus groves, a fabulous 400-foot swimming pool and oxygen-enriched guest rooms.

Secrets Tulum Resort & Beach Club

Coming in the summer of 2023, Secrets Tulum Resort & Beach Club is a swanky new property in one of Mexico’s top destinations. Located an hour and 45 minutes from Cancun International Airport (CUN), the hotel will feature 300 elegant junior suites and a fabulous Secrets Villa at the beach club. Each room promises to be modern and fun with touches of contemporary organic material, endemic wood elements and colorful, jungle-inspired decor.

While at the property, guests will enjoy eight delicious dining options, including three a la carte gourmet restaurants, a fully stocked buffet, a grill, one Coco Cafe and two snack bars. The resort will also feature a handful of bars where travelers can get their drink on throughout the duration of their stay.
